The Honda Civic has been one of the most popular vehicles among sport compact enthusiasts, and based on the examples at the 2005 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show, that trend will probably continue. A&L Racing has been involved in the import racing scene since 1994. The A&L Racing 2006 Civic Si delivers a distinctive appearance with custom chrome-look paint over a Honda Factory Performance body kit and custom fender flares by Brian's Auto Body. Performance modifications include a GReddy turbo kit, GReddy e-Manage engine management, a GReddy intercooler, and a DC Sports exhaust system. The suspension is upgraded with Eibach custom adjustable coilovers and Eibach adjustable anti-roll bars, the brakes receive Brembo 4-piston calipers, and 20-inch Enkei Kapone wheels are shod with Nitto Neo Gen tires. The Skunk2 Racing Stealth Honda Civic SiR was much more low-key than other examples at the SEMA show, with low-gloss Stealth Black paint and gray Volk Racing wheels for a subtle outward appearance. But under the hood, engine modifications include Skunk2 pistons and connecting rods; ported head; Skunk2 Racing camshafts, cam gears, forged valves and titanium valve retainers; RC Engineering injectors; and Hondata's ECU combined with Skunk2's prototype exhaust and intake system.

Competing in its first sanctioned motorsports event, the all-new 2006 Honda Civic Si placed first and second in class at the grueling "25 Hours of Thunderhill" endurance race at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, California, on December 3 and 4, 2005. Ryan Shutt teamed with Polk Audio and Precision Turbo for speed, style and tunes on this 2006 Civic Coupe. A custom turbo system uses Precision's ball bearing turbo, Fibrant turbo piping and intercooler, and Top Fuel's exhaust and engine management. It's supplemented by a twin-bottle Nitrous Express nitrous oxide system. Chassis modifications include Eibach springs and struts, SPC performance alignment components and SSBC Force 10 brakes. The exterior is augmented with a custom body kit from Audio Originals, custom carbon fiber roof, hood and trunk and a custom wing. Inside is a full Polk Audio system with an Alpine head unit and LCD TV screens, OMP racing seats, and custom suede trim.
