Honda CR-X - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Honda CR-X, originally launched as the Honda Ballade Sports CR-X in Japan, is a compact sports car manufactured by Honda. The first generation CR-X was sold in some regions outside Japan as the Honda Civic CR-X. DOHC engine putting out 128 bhp. The Si engine was stamped ZC, whilst the 16v stamped D16A9. Honda refreshed the looks of the car in these markets in 1990 when it added the B16A VTEC engine in the 150 bhp VT and 160 bhp SiR models in the UK & Europe and Japan respectively.

The Civic Si's transmission ratios seem perfectly matched to the engine. The ratios are close together, allowing the driver to keep the engine in the power band. Out on the highway, the Civic Si engine is very responsive, giving it good performance for passing. It accelerates from legal highway speeds to super-legal speeds fairly quickly.

But on the other hand, the Civic Si doesn't drive all that differently from a Civic sedan, and the four-door model offers a great deal more passenger flexibility, much easier access to the rear seats, and a generously sized trunk that keeps items out of the view of passersby. So if practicality is your thing, why not go for a Civic sedan, since you're really not missing out on all that much excitement compared to the Si?
