Honda Del Sol Reviews
If you want to sit back and crusie PCH on a sunny day then the Del Sol is a really great car. Airflow management is good so the car is shockingly quiet with the top off (normal conversation possible at 80mph). The seats are great, the design of the interior is simple and easy, and the suspension and handling are just fine for most purposes - although if you plan to race the Del Sol will always be somewhat limited due to the chassis' tendency to bend and sway at will. The car does offer a nice driving experience on the inside, however. The del Sol seats you like a bathtub, you're down low with high doors. The seating position is very good and placement of the stickshift was perfect. Honda got this part right, no doubt.

With 60,000 miles on the odometer, Ferreira intended to use it for daily service. That lasted for about a year, until Ferreira could wait no longer and shifted the car to weekend toy status and got serious about its build-up. Those familiar with the del Sol VTEC know that its B16A3 is solid from the factory floor.

The del Sol inhabits the cute end of the sports-car spectrum. Low, round and curvy, it has an endearing toylike demeanor, particularly when it's painted honda's eye-catching grasshopper green (sort of a metallic Fisher-Price). Up front, aerodynamic quartz halogen headlights sharpen its looks, especially with the optional round auxiliary lights. Hondas have the reputation of being mass-market cars that are also driver's cars, and the del Sol is no exception. Everything about the interior related to driving is purposeful and well-done. The comfortable, contoured bucket seats hold you securely.
