The bulb socket and the wiring harness may separate from the fog light housing and drop inside the bumper. An alternative method is to drill a small hole in the fog light hole switch cover, screw in a wood screw, and pull on the screw firmly with a pair of pliers. The switch cover will pop out, and you can proceed with the installation. Of course, this destroys the switch cover in the process, but this technique does not endanger the other parts of the dash in any way. If you do not have a lot of patience, yes.
